  The pain from Wednesday's leg workout finally began to abate on Sunday. Sunday! That's three days of pain for one night's work. I'm all for "no pain/no gain", but there's got to be a point where the pain outweighs the gain, and this I think, is it.

Friday's chest/arm workout went well as always. I got into a discussion about war with Iraq with one of the guys at the gym, and as always happens when I get angry, my strength and energy increased. (I was the one arguing the pro-war position.) Come Saturday between the residual leg soreness and Friday's intense workout, I was a complete wreck. I slept in on Sunday. I've found that I really need at least one good 10-11 hour sleep marathon per week for my body to recuperate.

The horses were frisky and uncooperative on Saturday and all of us in the group class were having problems. For the near future, goal-wise, it's going to be nothing but fitness and horses. How I miss the days of glamorous overdue goals like driving cross-country, concerts and buying stuff.
